For 50 years our client has worked with local authorities and housing associations on gas servicing and maintenance contracts. The company first came to Propeller in October 2009 when they asked us to update and improve the quality of their existing brand collateral and their standard responses to PQQs and so began a great collaborative working relationship.
From this starting point we developed a relationship which has ranged from responding to all must win PQQ and tender submissions, training their staff to answer responses better, providing our bid submission software, EasyPQQ, to make the job quicker and reviewing their completed work.
As an example, we worked with our client to secure a contract with North Hertfordshire Homes worth £4.6m. The contract runs until 2016 and is for the gas servicing & maintenance of 7,500 units in the Hertfordshire area. At the initial pre-tender release meeting, Propeller helped our Client identify areas of competitive advantage and added value. We allocated a project manager and consultant for the ITT submission and liaised with the bid team to establish a schedule and key dates.
Propeller drafted responses to the ITT, created an engaging design which incorporated graphics and charts, and digitised, printed and delivered the finished tender document. The entire process was managed through EasyPQQ, allowing us to work collaboratively and manage the exchange of information efficiently with them.
Other major wins have included the long term decent homes contracts such as Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association. Decent homes schemes and the quantification of added value issues are a speciality of Propeller because we have an in depth knowledge of the subject. After all, we created the award winning software, Flag, which now manages over 25,000 properties that have achieved decency standards through its process management techniques.
Our client has now employed a full time bid writer based upon their increased interest in responding to PQQ opportunities. Propeller helped train the new staff member to give him a complete understanding of the simple yet effective processes we use to ensure that our clients have the best chance of success. In this way we were able to add value to their business, reduce the cost of submissions, increase the number of PQQ documents that could be completed and set high benchmarks for the quality of responses.
Our client also adopted EasyPQQ to make the bid process quicker, easier and better. The full time bid writer has been able to draw upon the wealth of previously answered documents to tailor his own responses and use Propeller standard responses where they answer the questions.
